MoReFa challenges today's pervasive and static DMS (Design-Make-Sell) fashion model. Unconscious DMS production was created during the industrial revolution, by business growth spawned by machine invention. MoReFa challenges the current DMS system of overproduction, and celebrates innovation for a non-DMS conscious fashion system that is regenerative and zero waste, for a planet positive landfill free future of fashion solution.
Through research, experiments and reflective analysis, modular shape unisons yielded numerous positive system attributes, such as customizable, adaptable, scalable, regenerative and parametric fashion design options, algorithmic modeling and on-demand manufacturing possibilities, zero-waste production, biodegradable and natural sustainable elements. MoReFa's modular shape unisons, and regenerative seaming components are determined by the designer.
